To Whom It May Concern:
I am a determined, enthusiastic, and highly motivated teacher. I have high expectations for my students and want them to grow academically, socially, and emotionally in an atmosphere that is stimulating and adaptive to their diverse needs. I graduated from Fitchburg State College, obtaining my Masters in Elementary Education on May 20th, 2010 with a GPA of 3.98. I have passed all the necessary MTEL tests and hold a Professional License in Elementary Education and I am in the process of obtaining my Professional License in Middle School Mathematics.
I have had many experiences in the field of education from the time I was a senior in high school to my most recent teaching position. Throughout these experiences I have developed many different teaching strategies. Some of these strategies include inclusion, responsive classroom, team teaching, cooperative learning, and a variety of literacy approaches. Also during my experiences I have gained experience with: Wilson Fundations Phonics program, Dibels, Reading Street, and a variety of math programs including mastery and spiral programs.
I most recently taught first grade in Lowell, MA. Previously, I taught first and fifth grade at Saint Joseph School in Medford, MA. I have taught in both urban and rural settings and have worked with a wide variety of students. I have experience working with ELL students, students with emotional and behavioral needs, and students with special educational needs.
I have learned the value of being a team player and the importance of communicating with colleagues, parents, and administrators so that I will be able to provide the best education possible for my students. I am seeking full time employment and I would enjoy the opportunity to work at your school. I appreciate your consideration of my resume.
Respectfully,
